Jermaine Cunningham Tears Achilles Tendon

New York Jets

The New York Jets sustained one major injury during the Green and White scrimmage on Saturday night. According to Ian Rapport Jets LB Jermaine Cunningham has a torn Achilles tendon.

The Daily News is also confirming that Cunningham is expected to miss the entire season.

With Cunningham, who the Jets singed last November, apparently out for the year, the Jets need to find other ways to generate a successful pass rush. This means that the aging veteran Calvin Pace will have to somehow duplicate his double-digit sack totals from last season while receiving help from Jets newcomer Jason Babin, who will be expected to contribute immediately.
