Jets Waive Corey Lamkin

The New York Jets announced today that tight end Corey Lamkin has been waived. The announcement was made by Jets’ General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Lamkin, a 6-6, 240-pound product out of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, was signed to the Jets’ practice squad on November 8, 2005 and spent the remainder of the season on the team’s practice squad. He was signed to an NFL futures contract by the Jets on January 3, 2006. In three seasons with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi basketball team he averaged 11.9 points and 5.2 rebounds.
