Jets Lose To Bills
The New York Jets fell to 1 and 3 with a loss to the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park. Rookie QB Trent Edwards played like a veteran as he led the Bills offense, which had been struggling, up and down the field all day long.
Chad Pennington threw the ball 39 times for 290 yards but had two costly interceptions. The second one came as the game clock was winding down with the Jets at the end of Mike Nugent’s field goal range. They tried to pick up a few more yards in order to attempt a game tying field goal when the interception was thrown to end the game. The ground game for the Jets was not good as Thomas Jones ran 12 times for 35 yards. Jerricho Cotchery led the Jets receivers with 106 yards on 8 catches.
The Jets defense did not give up a lot of points but they are not playing well. The front seven can not get any pressure on the QB and they were picked apart all day long. Stay tuned for the JetNation Report Card and tell us what you think about their performance in our forums.
