Jets Draft Vernon Gholston

vernon.jpgAfter months of discussion, the question has been answered. With Darren McFadden off the board, the Jets selected Ohio State DE Vernon Gholston in the 1st round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He will be expected to help improve a pass rush that was among the worst in the league this past season. Vernon will play Outside Line Backer in Eric Mangini’s 3-4 Defense. He stands at 6′ 4″ and weighs 260 pounds.

The Jets pick again at # 36 overall. JetNation.com will provide a recap of all the Jets picks and you can discuss the Gholston selection here.
