In the 5th round of the NFL Draft the Jets selected QB Erik Ainge from Tennessee. The 6′ 5″ Ainge completed 325 passes as a Senior (525 attempts) and threw for over 3,500 yards with 35 touchdown (and 10 interceptions). He has had some injury problems in the past and initially he will be brought in to compete for the 3rd QB position.
