Woody Johnson acted fast after the late season collapse. This morning Eric Mangini has been fired as head coach of the NY Jets. The Jets announced this move at a 10am press conference. Eric had a 23 – 25 regular season record as head coach.
General Manager Mike Tannenbaum has been retained and said a search for a new head coach will start immediately. He said this is the right decision for the NY Jets and they will work to build off of what Eric accomplished here.
