One And Done, Favre To Retire

The Brett Favre era is over.  After one year with the New York Jets, Brett Favre has retired.  The biggest difference with this retirement is there were no tears.  Rex Ryan confirmed that the team was informed of Brett’s decision on Wednesday.  This gives the Jets plenty of time to plan for next year.  It also frees up a considerable amount of salary cap space.

All parties involved had hoped for more last season.  That being said, Brett Favre brought excitement to this team and made an otherwise boring season extremely interesting.  We wish Brett Favre well in his retirement.

My time with the Jets was short, but I’m honored to be given that chance.  Brett Favre.

There is plenty of Brett Favre talk in our football forum.
