Jets Continue Roster Purge; Release Moore

The Jets released Guard Brandon Moore today.  Moore who was coming off his best season was a salary cap casualty. He was due a 7 million dollar roster bonus in early March.

This is a risky move for the Jets.  They are cutting a player that is young and it isn’t clear what Plan B is at this time.  Jets fans all hope this works out better than the Pete Kendall disaster a few years ago.  The Jets cut Kendall and had no replacement ready.

After this move, some reports have the Jets as high as 36 million dollars under the cap.  What do they have planned with that money?  We will find out very soon, free agency begins at midnight.
