In the 6th round of the NFL draft the Jets stayed with offense. They selected offensive guard Matt Slauson from Nebraska. He is a player that Bill Callahan was familiar with from his time there. Slauson who stands just short of 6″5″ and weighs 315 pounds is considered to be a tough player with good size.
