Hutch: Jets Resign TE Bubba Franks

According to Dave Hutchinson of the Star Ledger, the New York Jets have resigned free agent tight end Bubba Franks.  The Jets are extremely thin at TE with Dustin Keller being the only proven commodity.  Keller is more of a wide receiver, so the Jets desperately needed  a TE that can block.

But since the Jets released veteran tight end Chris Baker (who signed with the Patriots) in February, they haven’t found a good match in free agency despite bringing in several veterans for visits. The Jets brought in veteran Michael Gaines last week but didn’t sign him.
