Calvin Pace Suspended 4 Games

The NFL announced released this statement:

Calvin Pace of the New York Jets has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2009 season for violating the NFL Policy on Performing Enhancing Substances.

Calvin Pace made stated that this was the result of an over the counter supplement.  The NFL is strict but if what Calvin said is true, it still doesn’t matter.  The responsibility to know what is considered acceptable by the NFL is on the players.

This is a set back for the Jets and a chance for Vernon Gholston to step up early in the season and get some playing time.  There is a discussion going on about this here.  Tell us what you think.
