Mike Lombardi reported today on the NFL Network that the Jets are open to trading running back Thomas Jones. Rex Ryan seems open to giving Leon Washington a larger role in the offense and more touches. Shonne Greene is having a solid camp after being selected in the 3rd round in the 2009 draft. So the Jets feel comfortable with the options they have at running back.
Trading Thomas Jones makes sense if they are going to bring back a wide receiver in return. Otherwise they should keep Thomas Jones because you can never have too much depth.
