The Jets lost the preseaon opener against the Rams by a score of 23 – 20. Bent from thejetsblog.com did an excellent job of breaking down the action. The short version is that:
- David Clowney is the greatest preseason player of all time (3 catches for 100 yards and a touchdown).
- Mark Sanchez could not have scripted a better beginning. He played one series, his first pass was a 48 yard completion to David Clowney. Oh and the Jets scored a touchdown on the series.
- You want an aggressive defense? You got it. This team is going to blitz often (4 sacks).
