The New York Jets have named, former NFL Safety, Mark Carrier as their new defensive Line coach. Carrier was with the Baltimore Ravens and was serving as their secondary coach. According to PFT.com (via the Baltimore Sun) Carrier feels that this move will help him progress towards his goal of becoming a Defensive Coordinator in the NFL.
The NY Jets parted ways with defensive line coach Kerry Lockin in November due to creative differences with his boss. Rex Ryan and Locklin did not see eye to eye. Not too hard to figure out who wins that battle.
