Jets Sign 5th Round Pick John Conner

On Friday, the New York Jets announced that they have signed their 5th round draft pick, John Conner.  Conner (5’11”, 246) is a fullback  and was selected 139th overall by the Jets.  He played his college ball at Kentucky.

He played in a school-record 53 games and earned 27 starts during his five seasons. Primarily a lead blocker, Conner finished his collegiate career with 247 yards and four touchdowns on 54 carries and 193 yards and four touchdowns on 25 receptions. He was granted a medical hardship as a freshman in 2005 after sustaining a season-ending injury.
