Jets Waive 3 Players
On Tuesday the New York Jets announced that they have waived three players. From the Jets:
The New York Jets have waived OL Curtis Duron, LS Wilson Raynor, and FB Brian Toal. The announcement was made by New York Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Duron (6-5/308/Missouri State/Springfield, AR), was signed as an undrafted free agent (7/29/11). He started 22 games during his college career and was named the school’s offensive lineman of the year in 2010.
Raynor (6-2/235/East Carolina/Dunn, NC), signed with the team as a free agent (8/7/11). While at ECU, Raynor played in 26 games as the long snapper. In his senior season, he earned honorable mention for the All-Conference USA squad.
Toal (6-0/238/Boston College/Wyckoff, NJ), played two seasons in the UFL for the Las Vegas Locomotives before signing a reserve future contract with the Jets (1/5/11). During his college career, he totaled 24 starts, 180 tackles, a sack and two interceptions.
