The New York Jets have signed T Austin Howard from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. The announcement was made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Howard (6-7/333/Northern Iowa/Davenport, IA) was signed to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad (09/06/11) after being waived by the Philadelphia Eagles (09/03/11).  He spent the 2010 season with Philadelphia and played four games, starting one, after being signed as an undrafted free agent (04/26/10).  At Northern Iowa, Howard twice earned Second-Team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors and was named to the 2009 Football Coaches Association’s FCS All-America team.
