Jets 2012 Draft Picks
Now that the NFL has announced compensatory picks there is a clear picture of where the Jets will be choosing in this year’s draft. The team was recently awarded four additional picks under NFL compensation rules but these four picks may not be traded under any circumstances.
There are a total of 253 picks in this year’s draft, 221 regular and 32 compensatory. Three teams have forfeited a pick for various reasons: New Orleans was penalized their second round pick #59 for ‘Bounty-gate’, Oakland used their third round pick #78 in the 2011 supplemental draft on QB Terrelle Pryor and Detroit forfeited their sixth round pick #192 for violating NFL tampering rules.
