Matt Slauson Takes A Paycut

New York Jets

The Star-Ledger is reporting that Jets guard Matt Slauson has taken a $258,000 pay cut in his 2012 salary reducing his pay from $1.308 million to $1.05 million. With this move Slauson’s pay is now fully guaranteed with a signing bonus of $435,000 to go along with his $615,000 base salary. Slauson had recently won the competition for the starting left guard position and is in the final year of his rookie contract though he is looking for a new deal.
