Quarterback Geno Smith suffered a “mild sprain” to his right ankle during Friday’s Pre Season opener against the Detroit Lions. Smith completed 6 out 7 passes for 47 yards before he was sidelined with the ankle injury.

According to Rich Cimini from ESPN New York, Geno Smith is not expected to miss any significant time and it is highly believed that he will be the starter against the Jacksonville Jaguars at MetLife Stadium next Saturday.
