Jets Release WR Santonio Holmes

According to the New York Jets official Twitter page they has released wide receiver Santonio Holmes:

WR Santonio Holmes has been released.

The move was expected as Holmes was set to receive a $1 million roster bonus on March 13. The Jets now save $8.25 million on the 2014 salary cap.
