Former New York Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan plucked one of his former players for Gang Green today when he took nose tackle TJ Barnes from the Jets practice squad to help his ailing defensive line.

With a spot opened up by Barnes’ departure, the Jets signed free agent outside linebacker Julian Stanford out of Wagner.  The 6′ 1”, 228 lb Stanford was previously a member of the Tampa Bay Bucs and Detroit Lions according to Dennis Waszak.

Stanford has started six games in three seasons, notching 28 tackles.
