PFF’s top Five Jets From Season Opener

Jamal Adams

Pro Football Focus, the website dedicated to watching every single player on every single snap of the NFL season released their top five grades for Gang Green’s week one game against the Bills.

The rankings are slightly different from those released the day after the game as PFF does multiple cross-checks to ensure accuracy, which will sometimes see a grade go up or down.

All five players who scored well per PFF, also made our list of players who stood out in the Jets’ 21-12 loss earlier in the week.

Free agent waiver Claim Kony Ealy topped the list, a result of applying consistent pressure on Tyrod Taylor throughout the game, while Jordan Jenkins, who was stellar in setting the edge and Leonard Williams who had a pair of pressures and several run stops was just behind Ealy at 81.0.

Also a respectable day from rookie safety Jamal Adams and the newly acquired Jermaine Kearse, who, despite just a handful of practices with Josh McCown in John Morton’s offense, was able to come away with 7 receptions for 59 yards.
