Schefter: Jets to Fire Offensive Coordinator
Adam Schefter is reporting that the Jets are going to offensive coordinator Johnny Morton. The move comes as a surprise since Morton inherited the offense after the roster purge. He also had very limited talent at the QB position and Josh McCown somehow managed to produce at a higher level than anyone imagined was possible.
Jets making change at OC: Johnny Morton is out, per sources. Two potential replacements: former Steelers’ OC Todd Haley and Jets’ QB coach Jeremy Bates, who was well liked and respected in building last year.

Sources: The Jets have NOT yet determined who will replace John Morton as offensive coordinator. QBs coach Jeremy Bates remains a strong candidate, I'm told. However, it is not a done deal with him yet. https://t.co/jToT5uDGI3
