The move ends a disappointing season for Kalil who had retired from the Panthers after last season. He only played in 7 games this year. Joe Douglas signed Ryan Kalil into playing for the Jets and signed him to a one-year 8.4 million dollar contract.
Jonathan Harrison has started the past two weeks and he will continue to do so. It was his job before the season started and he is the starter again after the failed Ryan Kalil experiment. It will give the staff an extensive look at Harrison as they head into the offseason where the offensive line will be a major focus.
Leo Koloamatangi was on the Jets practice squad and here is a little more background info.
Koloamatangi signed to the Jets’ practice squad Oct. 30. The 6’4”, 310-pounder originally joined the Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2017. The Hawaii product, who played 41 games in four seasons for the Rainbow Warriors, has been a final cut each year since entering the league and has bounced on and off Detroit’s practice squad.
