With the winless Jets sitting at 0-8, expect Jets GM Joe Douglas to get anything he can in draft capital as he looks to unload as many players as possible.
After a stellar first season with the Jets two years ago, Williamson hasn’t been the same player in 2020 after missing all of 2019 due to injury. Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter have both reported that the trade is happening. Here are the reports on the trade compensation.
The #Jets are trading LB Avery Williamson to the #Steelers, source said and they are swapping picks: PIT 2022 5th rounder for NYJ’s 2022 7th rounder. Williamson fills a position of need for Pittsburgh.
