Becton’s Knee “Structurally Sound”; Team Remains mum on Tackle’s Weight
Jets fans finally got an update on the team’s expectations in regards to the return of Mekhi Becton but didn’t get to find out where the lineman is in terms of his weight.
So to summarize on Mekhi Becton: His knee is structurally sound, per Saleh. He will be ready for training camp. Saleh won't reveal weight, says Becton still working w/ performance staff. No decision on LT-RT situation. #Jets

With his knee reportedly in good shape, head coach Robert Saleh said Becton will return when training camp kicks off in late July. Becton has of course been the center of attention in recent weeks as works to come back from injury. The tackle dislocated is knee cap in the team’s opener last season and despite the team suggesting his return would be weeks away, missed the whole season.
Becton has been working out in Texas with his trainer and a nutritional team in an effort to shed some pounds after reportedly tipping the scales at over 400 lbs by the end of last season.
With Becton on the shelf, tackle George Fant turned in a career year, meaning Becton will have to win his old job back at left tackle.
