It took more than three months to get it done, but Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets have worked out a new structure for the quarterback’s eye-watering mega contract. The re-structure was confirmed today after pro football talk reported the news yesterday. However, Rodgers declined to offer any specifics about the deal.

Due a whopping $107 million next season alone, the Jets were always going to have to re-work the deal to move some money around. At the time of the trade it was reported that details of the extension would be known upon completion of the deal. In the end, it took 93 days.
Joe Douglas, with a smile, says there have been "positive" discussions with Aaron Rodgers' representation about a reworked contract.

The new contract will undoubtedly include multiple void years as the Jets look to spread out the enormous cap figure with the Jets hoping Rodgers hangs around for more than a season or two.
