NY Jets Sign Dalvin Cook – Schefter

Dalvin Cook

According to several reports, including Adam Schefter, the NY Jets have signed free agent running back Dalvin Cook. Schefter says it is a one-year deal that could be worth up to 8.6 million dollars. The move comes after an impressive performance by several Jets running backs against the Carolina Panthers. The times are changing for the Jets. Joe Douglas is trying to leave very little to chance as the team tries to make themselves Super Bowl Contenders.

Cook, who is listed at 5’10” and 209lbs, played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2017 to 2022. They drafted him in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He is a four-time Pro Bowl selection and has been one of the most productive running backs in the NFL since entering the league. A versatile runner who can make plays in the rushing and passing game. He is a good athlete and a patient runner with speed, agility, and power.  The Vikings released cook in June 2023 after the team declined to pick up his fifth-year option. He is expected a talented backfield that includes Breece Hall, Michael Carter, and Israel Abanikanda.
