AP Says Sauce Gardner is NFL’s top Cornerback

Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner ended last season on a high note when he was named the NFL’s top defensive rookie. He was also the first rookie cornerback to be named All-Pro in 42 years. Now Gardner has started 2023 off in similar fashion.

The already elite defender was voted the NFL’s top cornerback by a panel of Associated Press football writers. The decision will come as no surprise to anyone who watches Gardner for any length of time.
The Cincinnati product uses a blend of smarts, length and speed to consistently shut down opposing receivers which the Jets and their fans hope will carry on for both the near and long term.
