Jets Shuffle Roster Ahead of Week 1 Kickoff; Two Added to 53

The Jets have done a little bit of roster shuffling ahead of their season opener in San Francisco against the 49ers.  This, according to Antwan Staley of the New York Daily News.

Having said earlier in the week that linebacker Zaire Barnes would not be active for week 1, he has now been placed on injured reserve.  This, just a day after offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer was placed on IR.

To replace the pair, the Jets have added offensive lineman Jake Hanson and linebacker Sam Eguavoen to their 53-man roster.

The team has also announced they are elevating tight end Anthony Firkser and defensive lineman Jalyn Holmes prior to this evening’s contest.
