For the Jets, it’s finally time for preseason football to kick off. Although health hasn’t been on Gang Green’s side lately, this will still be a great game to test the depth of the new roster and the approach of the new coaching staff.

Their first time competing as a group will be at Lambeau Field, as the Green Bay Packers are Saturday’s foe. Keep reading for the top odds available for this Jets vs. Packers game, courtesy of the best sports betting sites in New York. All odds are subject to change before kickoff.

Matchup: New York Jets @ Green Bay Packers

Venue: Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Date and Time: Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. EST

New York Jets Spread vs. Packers: +2.5 (+100) via FanDuel Sportsbook

Entering their first preseason game on the road, the Jets are only slight underdogs. Basically, the Packers are only favored because the game is in Wisconsin.

That shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as it’s the first preseason game and neither side will be playing their starters much, if at all.

Looking at the spread, there isn’t much value in taking the Jets here. If they lose, it’ll likely be by at least three points. If they win, there’s obviously a more valuable pick.

New York Jets Moneyline: +130 via DraftKings Sportsbook

The Jets won all three of their preseason games in 2024, pushing their preseason winning streak to four games. Why not ride with it?

Adrian Martinez and Brady Cook will be taking most, probably all, of the snaps under center for the Jets. Martinez threw 47 passes last preseason and was elevated for New York’s Week 5 matchup in Minnesota. Brady Cook is a rookie. One or both of them could put on a show unexpectedly. There isn’t much data on either QB at the NFL level.

Defensively, the Jets shouldn’t struggle against Green Bay’s backups, and the special teamers have the most to play for, so they should also be clean.

Taking the Jets’ moneyline is only slightly riskier than the spread, but noticeably more valuable. Riding with the winning streak is probably the smarter play for backing New York on Saturday.

Jets vs. Packers Total

Over 36.5 (-110) via Caesars Sportsbook

Under 37.5 (-115) via FanDuel Sportsbook

It’s the first week of the preseason for 30 teams. Across the board, scoring will likely be down. Last year, preseason Week 1 games averaged a total of 32.8 points.

The Jets are also returning a defense that held all three preseason foes under 20 points last season and allowed the third-fewest yards during the regular season. They’re a tough bunch.

With neither offense trotting out its top weapons, scoring should be low on Saturday night. Most books have the total set at 36.5 points, which is a better option for over bettors.

However, the under feels right here, and taking the extra point at 37.5 is worth it.
