Today the New York Jets have Released Defensive Lineman Antonio Garay. Garay was signed as a free agent during the off season by the Jets. The Decision to release Garay was likely made easier by Damon Harrison’s good play in the Pre Season.

Additionally the Jets also released Kicker Dan Carpenter. Carpenter was brought in to compete with Nick Folk for the kicker position. It appears that Nick Folk has once again locked in his position as the Jet’s starting kicker.

The Jets will have until Saturday 6pm eastern time to cut their roster down to 53 players.
