NY Jets Sign DT Matt Hardison

by Phil Sullivan on June 23, 2012

The New York Jets have signed another undrafted free agent (UDFA).  Here is the official release from the team:

The New York Jets have signed undrafted free agent DT Matt Hardison. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Hardison (6-4/285/Freehold, NJ/Delaware) participated in the Jets rookie minicamp as a tryout player on May 4-6.  In two seasons at Delaware, Hardison played in 24 games, recording 29 tackles, including 6.5 for a loss. Hardison spent his first three collegiate seasons at Rutgers, but did not see game action.

Here is a thread on Matt Hardison from our New York Jets message board.

I started JetNation in 2005 and have been a New York Jets season ticket holder since graduating from high school. My dream is to see the New York Jets win the Super Bowl. Until then, I will be right here on JetNation writing, dreaming and talking NY Jets football.
