NEW YORK JETS RELEASE
QB RICKY RAY, RB LEONARD HENRY,
and TE JOSHUA NORMAN
New York City â€“ The New York Jets announced today the contracts of quarterback Ricky Ray, running back Leonard Henry, and tight end Joshua Norman have been waived. The announcements were made by Jetsâ€™ Executive Vice President and General Manager Terry Bradway.
Ray, a 6-3, 210-pound signal-caller out of Sacramento State, was signed by the Jets as a free agent on February 27, 2004. He dressed as the third QB three times during the 2004 regular season, but did not see game action.
Henry, a 6-1, 210-pound running back out of East Carolina, was signed by the Jets on April 6, 2005, after a three-year stint with the Miami Dolphins.
Norman, a 6-3, 240-pound tight end out of Oklahoma, was signed as a free agent on February 1, 2005.
All three players participated in the Clubâ€™s mini-camp, conducted last weekend.
