I vote NO and here’s why:
The Jets were totally unprepared for week 1. It looked like the Chiefs were playing Ball State. And although both QB’s were “healthy”, Fiedler should have been the starter.
Covering up Penny’s injury and handcuffing the offense is something a coach shouldn’t do. Remember in 1998 when Foley said he as OK? Parcells poked him in the ribs and Foley was still injured. So the nod went to Vinny and you know what happened next.
I was a big Pennington/Edwards supporter, but after the way the season started, my faith in them is fading fast.
