Jets Sign DE David Bowens

The Jets made another move to improve the defensive line by signing 8th year pro, David Bowens.  They gave the former Dolphin a three year deal worth six million dollars.  It has been reported that he can earn another two million through incentives.

David was drafted in the 5th round of the 1999 draft by the Denver Broncos.  Bowens who is 6′ 3″ and weighs 265 lbs had five sacks last season.  By signing with the Jets he is reunited with Defensive Line Coach Dan Quinn.
