David Barrett Reworks His Contract

According to Rich Cimini of the NY Daily News, CB David Barrett has reworked his contract.  This is an interesting move because Barrett was rumored to be a possible cap casualty.  With his cap number being lowered by 1.2 million, he provides veteran depth and insurance at a position that needs it.

Rich Cimini wrote:
CB David Barrett, due to make a hefty $3.6million this season, renegotiated his contract, according to a league source. His base was slashed to $2.4 million, reducing his chances of becoming a cap casualty.
