ESPN has just confirmed that Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer will return and work under new head coach Rex Ryan. Marty Schottenheimer discussed this yesterday on the radio.
This means that the team will only be facing a new playbook on one side of the ball (defense). Learning two new playbooks can often mean a slow start.
