The Jets thought they had a deal earlier today with former Ravens linebacker Bart Scott. They felt good about the 5 year, 40 million dollar deal. Scott gave the Ravens a chance to match the Jets offer.

Bart Scott is now a member of the New York Jets after signing a 6 year, 48 million dollar deal. Scott is a versatile inside linebacker that has stated he loved playing for Rex Ryan. He will bring knowledge and leadership to the defense.
