NFL teams have to reduce rosters to the 75 man limit by Tuesday, September 1st (today). With one preseason game left they need enough bodies to get through the game while resting most of the starters.
The big cutdown is on September 5th. All NFL teams have to reduce their rosters to 53 players by that date.
Check the waiver wire Jets fans, there may be wide receiver help available.
