TE Matt Mulligan Signed from Practice Squad

The New York Jets have signed TE Matthew Mulligan to the active roster from the practice squad. The announcement was made by Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Mulligan (TE/6-4/270/Maine/West Enfield, ME) was signed to the Jets practice squad on Sept. 24, 2009, after being waived by the Jets on Sept. 23, 2009. Mulligan was claimed off waivers from Tennessee on Sept. 6. He signed with the Titans practice squad on Nov. 19, 2008. Mulligan originally entered the NFL with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2008, and spent the first nine weeks of the 2008 season on the Dolphins’ practice squad before being released. In two seasons at Maine, he recorded 23 receptions for 268 yards and two touchdowns.
Mulligan will wear jersey number 82.
