The Jets have called up rookie linebacker Marcus Dowtin from the practice squad to fill the vacant roster spot left by the waiving of fullback John Connor. Signed as an undrafted free agent on 5/4 Dowtin was released from the team (8/31) during final cuts signing later with the Jets practice squad.
Dowtin played three years at University of Georgia before losing his scholarship due to disciplinary reasons finishing his collegiate career at North Alabama.
