Game Day Updates; No More Player Walk

The NY Jets open their season at home on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. If you are going to the game I am sure you have started the process of checking out your tailgating gear. Make sure you power wash that Jets cooler so the green really shines. The propane tank needs to be full, otherwise go get a new bag of charcoal. Good luck with whatever you are cooking as well.

Here are a few additional updates related to the game day experience this season:

This was fun to watch as a fan. Personally I enjoyed it, seeing the players walk into the stadium. That said, I always wondered how much the players hated it. Getting on a bus and driving around the stadium to high five fans seems like it would be annoying if you were a player trying to get ready for a game. Things like that were acceptable under Rex Ryan, now that Todd Bowles is in town there is no more player walk.

Gameday Information

■ Parking lots open at 8 a.m. (See Parking FAQ)

■ Will Call opens at 10 a.m. (See Will Call on Stadium Map)

■ Stadium gates open at 11 a.m. and player warmups start at about noon.

■ Pilot of the Game: Jets Legend #92 Shaun Ellis.

■ Game time is 1 p.m.

■ This week the players will be wearing white jerseys and green pants.

■ National Anthem by NYPD Officer Lauren Leggio.

New Jets Rewards Card

Remember the Jets issued new Jets Rewards cards this season. Make sure what you bring with you says 2015 on the front.

Jets Cash

The Jets implemented Jets Cash this year, you can link your account to your credit card and use your game ticket at all concessions stands and retail locations with a tap-here-to-pay sign at MetLife Stadium.

The clear bag policy is still in effect!
