Report: Sam Darnold Named Jets Starter
After trading quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to the New Orleans Saints for what is reportedly a 3rd round draft choice, the New York Jets are reportedly set to start rookie Sam Darnold in their season opener against the Detroit Lions.

Darnold has impressed onlookers and the Jets coaching staff this preseason and the move was expected, but the team was playing coy up until now.
When he lines up under center, Darnold will become the NFL’s youngest starting quarterback in the modern era at 21-years and 97 days old.
