Darnold Not Cleared Yet; Will Start When Cleared

After an 0 and 4 start the Jets need Sam Darnold back on the field if they have any hopes of turning things around. Adam Gase was asked if Darnold would be under center when the Jets take on the Dallas Cowboys at Metlife Stadium on Sunday.

The only update I would have is he is supposed to run through all of the tests tomorrow morning and we will have more information so we will be able to plan out our week.

The when part is still a question, what isn’t up for debate is that Darnold will start once the doctors clear him.

Yeah, if he gets cleared he will start.

Other updates from Adam Gase…

Henry Anderson

Yeah really the only one was Henry (Anderson), and right now it is a week-to-week deal, it is just going to have to see how he feels, just seeing him walking around today, he is obviously in pain. It is going to be about how does he feel as we go through the week and if he doesn’t feel as though he can go out and perform at the level he needs to perform at, then he will miss a game.

Herndon & Copeland

I think with the Herndon and Copeland thing it’s going to be more about getting them out at practice, seeing where they are out, obviously you get an exemption when those guys come back, we are going to see how that works out, that’s day to day.

CJ Mosley (will be practice on Wednesday)

Yeah, that is one we are still waiting on to see. I think we are close, I am just not sure how close we are.
