ADAM GASE: With today’s 13-6 win at BUF (12/29), Head Coach Adam Gase tallied his 25th win in a one-score game (+/- eight points) as a head coach (MIA 2016-18, Jets 2019-). Gase has posted a career 25-8 record in one-score contests and his .758 winning percentage in those games is the best in the league among any head coach with at least 15 such contests since 2016.

DEFENSE: For the second time this season, the Jets defense held their opponent to six points or less and it was the first time the Jets held Buffalo to six points or less since October 12, 2003 when the Jets won 30-3 and it’s the first time the Jets only allowed six points or less while playing on the road since 2009.

INTERCEPTIONS: In the Jets 13-6 victory, linebacker James Burgess and cornerback Arthur Maulet each recorded their first career interception, becoming the 10th and 11th Jets defensive player to have an interception this season. The last time the Jets had 11 different players to record an interception was in 1987 when the 11 players had a combined 18 interceptions (according to Radar 360).

Burgess led the team in total tackles against Buffalo with nine, followed by Maulet with seven.

JAMISON CROWDER: Early in the fourth quarter with 13:31 remaining, wide receiver Jamison Crowder received a one-yard pass for a touchdown, his sixth of the season and 20th of his career.

Crowder led the offense in receptions (eight) and receiving yards (66) and finished the season leading the team in total receptions (78), receiving yards (833) and receiving touchdowns (six).

SAM DARNOLD: Quarterback Sam Darnold completed 23 passes for 199 yards, reaching a single-season career best of 3,024 passing yards and becoming only the third player in franchise history to reach 3,000+ passing yards in a season with only two years of experience.

LACHLAN EDWARDS: Punter Lachlan Edwards finished the game with five punts for 241 yards (42.0 net average), placing two punts inside the 20.

Edwards completed the season with 28 punts inside the 20, which is the second most of his career. Additionally, Edwards has gone four consecutive seasons with at least 20 punts inside the 20 and has a total of 108 in his career.

JORDAN JENKINS: Linebacker Jordan Jenkins recorded a forced fumble early in the second half, his second forced fumble of the season, which was recovered by linebacker Tarell Basham and returned for two yards.

Jenkins finished the game with a sack, three tackles, including two for loss, a quarterback hit, a pass defensed and a forced fumble and closed the season leading the team in total sacks with 8.0, a new single-season career high, as well as tying for first on the team in forced fumbles (two) and interceptions (two).

SERIES: The Jets trail the all-time series 56-62 (0-1 postseason), including a 26-32 record on the road. The win splits the series this season with a win for both teams, each on the road.
