“Relentless” Wilson Impresses in OTA Session
It’s only an OTA practice, so take it all with a grain of salt, Jets fans.
In his first practice session that was entirely open to the media, Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, whom head coach Robert Saleh referred to as “relentless” in his pursuit of knowledge, did impress during practice.
With Corey Davis, Denzel Mims and Jamison Crowder sitting out for the day, several Jets scribes took to twitter to let fans know that Wilson made several impressive throws to free agent addition Keelan Cole.
The Zach Wilson to Keelan Cole connection was big today during OTAs. Cole made a ton of catches today. #Jets

Wilson hit Cole with multiple throws, including one pass that Darryl Slater of nj.com called his best of the day when Wilson dropped a deep ball in the bucket to Cole in tight coverage.
Wilson had a great thrown in 7-on-7s, as he connected with Keelan Cole, who got a lot of action Thursday with Denzel Mims and Jamison Crowder absent, and Corey Davis present but not participating (undisclosed reason). On his pass to Cole, 25 yards down the sideline, Wilson dropped the ball in perfectly, over tight coverage from Bless Austin. That was Wilson’s best throw of practice — an elite-level pass
Slater also highlighted Wilson’s accuracy in throwing the ball up the seam to tight ends Chris Herndon and Tyler Kroft.
