Jets Turning Away Teams Looking to Make Deal for Bryce Huff
As expected, NFL clubs are reportedly picking up the phone to check the availability of Jets edge rusher Bryce Huff. And as Jets fans would hope, Gang Green doesn’t appear to be interested.

This, according to the folks at uStadium. While the Jets have plenty of depth on the edge, the status of Carl Lawson is unclear at the moment. Lawson was said to be nursing a minor injury several weeks ago. However, he has been invisible since that time. He has not played in a game or even taken part in any light practices.
There is a significant injury history with Lawson. That of course increases Huff’s value for the Jets who employ heavy a heavy rotation on the defensive line.
NFL insider Jeremy Fowler suggests the Jets may be considering the potential of a compensatory pick should Huff sign elsewhere next offseason.
Part of logic here: Huff could do well in free agency, which would set up Jets with a good compensatory pick, potentially. https://t.co/Krl08qVcoN

In a perfect world, the Jets would get their valuable defender signed to a long-term deal and let teams look elsewhere for edge help.
With Huff, Jermaine Johnson, rookie Will McDonald, John Franklin-Myers and Michael Clemons on board, getting some calls was inevitable.
