Kicker Wanted; Zuerlein Downgraded to OUT for Dallas Matchup

Some bad news for the Jets today as kicker Greg Zuerlein has been downgraded to “out” by the team according to their official X page.  This leaves the Jets without a kicker for the time being.

Zuerlein injured his groin at the end of practice two days ago which led the Jets to auditioning a trio of kickers at 1 Jets Drive.  The list included Matthew Wright, Austin Seibert and Caleb Shudak.

Shudak went 3-4 as a field goal kicker for the Titans last season while Seibert has been good on 80% (44-55) of his kicks for Browns, Lions and Bengals dating back to 2019.  Wright has been the best of the group as a pro, connection on 87% of his field goal attempts in stops with the Steelers, Jags and Chiefs.
